Description
- EVACUOL® Granules is a bowel regulator, which is made up of natural mucilage Karaya Gum and Sennosides A and B. Karaya Gum when taken orally swells and adds bulk to the stool. It does not have any systemic action and side effects. Sennosides A and B are active glycosides of senna. The sennosides stimulate Auerbach's and Meissner's plexus and acts as a stimulant laxative. These two actions combine and initiate the peristaltic reflex. EVACUOL® Granules thus, helps in relieving constipation and restoring the habit of natural evacuation.
- Constipation is often seen in diabetic patients due to atony of the intestinal musculature caused by autonomic neuropathy. EVACUOL® is apt for diabetic patients, as it has a two-pronged activity of Gum Karaya, as well as, Sennosides, ensuring complete evacuation and providing relief. In addition to this, EVACUOL® provides additional benefits to diabetic patients, as Gum Karaya in EVACUOL® is a soluble fibre and is found to have cholesterol lowering and blood glucose lowering effects.
